Liana

QiGong, & Yoga Teacher

Meet Liana, a seasoned yogi with a vibrant journey that spans continents and life stages. Her yoga odyssey began in Brazil in 1997 amid a bustling career in Media, where yoga emerged as a sanctuary from the high stress of her professional life. Facing personal health challenges, including Fibromyalgia and IBS, she found solace and strength in the practice of yoga, pivoting to a healthier, more centered lifestyle.

Early in her practice, Liana was captivated by the powerful flow of Ashtanga yoga and the precise discipline of Iyengar yoga, where she deepened her understanding of alignment and restoration. These experiences were not only transformative physically but also spiritually, guiding her through three cherished pregnancies and beyond.

In 2011, a new chapter began when Liana relocated to England with her family. Confronting challenges like anxiety and a resurgence of Fibromyalgia, she received a recommendation from her physiotherapist that reignited her passion for yoga. Embracing Hatha yoga, she revitalized her health and, at 42, courageously transitioned into a new role as a yoga teacher. This career change was not just a physical journey but also a mental conquest, particularly as she adapted to teaching in English and sharing her profound insights authentically.

The pandemic brought new hurdles with peri-menopausal symptoms, yet it also afforded Liana the time to delve into the nuanced interplay of mindset, nutrition, and physical activity on hormonal health. She refined her practice and pedagogy, incorporating holistic approaches to wellness, including tailored dietary shifts and broader lifestyle adjustments.

Liana’s commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth enriches her teachings. She invests considerable time in enhancing her knowledge and skills to better serve her students. Recognizing the universal energies—prana in yogic terms and chi in Chinese philosophy—she also explores healing modalities like Reiki and Sound Therapy and is currently studying Qigong to deepen her understanding of energy flow and mindful movement.

As a dedicated advocate for holistic health, Liana's approach is heartfelt and holistic, aiming to unify mind, body, and spirit. Through her classes, she strives to empower others to achieve greater wellbeing and harmony, making every session a step toward balanced and enriched living.
